Finding Happiness – Beat life with a stick

In life we find ourselves always saying tomorrow this will happen. Honestly who cares what happens tomorrow, it’s all about today. Today you can make things happen. Today you can be happy. Today you can improve your life. Life is happening today, don’t let it pass you.

Life is too short to not do what you love. Are you trading just your time for money? Or are you trading your happiness for money? I doubt many of us are able to say 30 years from now that we wish we had worked more. But why can’t that be the case? Can we find great joy in the work we do? I think we can because all of us like to accomplish things and do things. Sure we like to relax, but we also all like to create and do things.

On the subject of creating, there is no greater joy in my mind than creating and doing things. We all like to just stand back and look at things we’ve done and be proud. If you’re looking for something to do to help you feel better, improve your life, then look no further than creating something, anything. It doesn’t have to be art, it can be anything. Just go create something or do something and I’m sure you’ll find some joy from it.

Life comes down to two choices. We either do things or we stagnate. I’m 100% sure that if we go out and do that we will be much better off. Life gets easier the more you fight back, so don’t let life beat you down. Pick up a stick and beat the crap out of it.

I once was in heavy debt, in a crappy job, and not very happy with life. I came up with a plan to get out of debt, improve my life, and make sure I am happy. I've done that, now I want to share what I've done with others.

I agree, but to a point. I think we need to live for today, but at the same time, prepare for tomorrow. Too many use the “live for today” as a crutch for spending more than they have today, living as if tomorrow has already come. I hate the word “balance” because I think the weight on either side of the scale will generally be tipped in favor of one side more than the other at any given time depending on needs, wants and circumstances, but we need “balance” in living today and preparing for tomorrow – you could also throw in learning from the past.
