I’m sick of hearing people say, “I wish I was …” (fill in the blank). I’m sure you have heard some of these:
- I wish I was rich.
- I wish I was good at … like …
- I wish I was like …
- I wish I was more spiritual.
- I wish I was happier.
- I wish I had more projects to do.
- I wish I was smarter like …
- I wish…
When do people get tired of wishing? It seems like an easy crutch to use to not actually do something about it. I don’t know if it makes people feel good for wishing something or what, but let’s get on to doing something.
If you want to be more spiritual, DO more spiritual things. If you want to have more money, DO things that people with more money do. If you want to find what your passion in life is, DO things that can get you closer to figuring it out. Wishing won’t do anything for you. Wishing AND acting will.
Get on with your life. Reach your potential. No one’s going to do it for you. You and the rest of us can’t wait much longer!
